HGTV Christina’s Countless Controversies Revealed

Christina Hall first became famous when she and her husband at the time Tarek El Moussa stared on HGTV’s reality show “Flip or Flop.” On the show, the couple would flip houses together, and they continued working on the show together for quite awhile even after their divorce was finalized.

Eventually, they moved on to their own shows with Hall staring in an HGTV reality show called “Christina on the Coast” where she provides interior design advice.

Despite her success on HGTV or perhaps because of it, multiple controversies have surrounded Hall and her career. These controversies started back when she was married to El Moussa.

One example is that the couple launched a seminar series where they said they would teach new flippers tricks to flipping houses; however, once attendees arrived at the seminars, they were greeted with a video from the couple explaining that they weren’t actually going to be at the seminar because they were out flipping houses.

These seminars cost $3000 including required software, but some attendees paid up to $26,000 to attend additional seminars. Attendees were told they could get a refund if they didn’t successfully flip a house within a certain time period, but when attendees tried to get a refund, they found that it wasn’t as easy as they were told.

Hall has also been accused of not being willing to work with women; however, Hall claims that’s not true. On Instagram, she wrote, “My current ‘Christina on the Coast’ team is the most fun and on point it’s ever been and I see a lot of females here. So to those who love to throw stones that’s just your own internal struggle.”

Another controversy happened shortly after Hall and El Moussa’s divorce. Meaww reports that hall likes to wear t-shirts with slogans on them, and sometimes doesn’t think about what is on her shirt before leaving the house. In this case, she was wearing a shirt that said “Pink Champagne, Can’t Complain,” which seemed inappropriate considering the circumstances and led to media scrutiny of the “Can’t Complain” line on her shirt.
