Don Jr, Others, Question 2022 Video Where Biden Said He Had Cancer

Former President Joe Biden once said during his presidency that he had cancer, and when news organizations reported his exact words, fact-checkers stepped in to call it fake news, but now the video has resurfaced after he revealed his cancer diagnosis.

The comment came during a 2022 news conference near an old coal mining plant where he was talking about the dangers of fossil fuels.

“I just lived up the road. I just — in an apartment complex when we moved to Delaware. And just up the road was a little school I went to, Holy Rosary grade school. And because it was a four-lane highway that was accessible, my mother drove us and — rather than us be able to walk. And guess what? The first frost, you knew what was happening. You had to put on your windshield wipers to get, literally, the oil slick off the window. That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up [with] have cancer and why can- — for the longest time, Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation,” the former president said in the speech.

“But that’s the past, and we’re going to get — we’re going to build a different future with one — one with clean energy, good-paying jobs,” he said.

People have now started sharing the video again and asking questions about when the former president knew of his cancer diagnosis.

Fact checkers, like FactCheck.org, were quick to pounce and say that the former president’s quote had been ”misinterpreted.”

“President Joe Biden claimed in a July 20 speech that growing up in Delaware near oil refineries gave him cancer. Posts on social media misinterpreted that to mean he currently has cancer. A White House spokesperson said Biden was referring to a skin cancer that was removed before he became president,” the fact-checking organization said, relying on a post on X from Andrew Bates, who, as a White House spokesman, pointed to a health summary from former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor.

“It is well-established that President Biden did spend a good deal of time in the sun in his youth. He has had several localized, non-melanoma skin cancers removed with Mohs surgery before he started his presidency,” O’Connor said.

“These lesions were completely excised, with clear margins. Total body skin exam was performed for dermatologic surveillance. Several small areas of actinic change were treated with liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, but there are no areas suspicious for skin cancer at this time,” he said.

There is no evidence to suggest that the former president was talking about anything other than his previous skin cancer but many people have started asking questions.

Among those people is President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

“Joe says he had cancer 2 years ago & everyone said it’s a gaffe. When he clearly had dementia, everyone said he’s lucid. Now that he’s no longer useful they’re all shocked that they missed it. Everyone was in on the cover-up! Who was running the country? We need accountability!” the president’s son said on X.

“’We just missed it’ the MSM says of Biden’s obvious mental decline. No, you deceitfully ignored it. July 2022, Joe Biden says ‘I have cancer.’ That’s not a stutter. That’s not a misspeak. You ignored it to cover up. MSM is deceitful & disgusting,” Liz Wheeler said.

“In 2022 Biden said he had cancer. We were told it was just a ‘gaffe.’ How long did they know for? Who decided to cover it up? These people lied to our faces for four years. They need to be held accountable!” Libs Of TikTok said.

“The mask slipped in 2022,” Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee said.

“Biden admitted he had cancer,” he said.
